If you wish to become a top earner, you need a way to promote to thousands of people- not just to the small number of friends and family network marketers are taught to approach.

You\'ve got to learn to acquire customers and business partners the way nearly all legitimate businesses do: through marketing!

I\'ve been groomed by 6 and 7-figure income earners who taught me the following strategies we quietly use to build large businesses:

– Market Effectively

Move beyond the short-term make a list of friends and family tactics most network marketers practice. Use real marketing. Network marketers in companies such as Amway are taught a lot about how to network, but almost nothing about how to market.

Purchasing leads and business cards, and setting up your company-provided replicated website seems like marketing. These are just marketing tools, and some are not very effective. A variety of elements factor into a marketing plan:

Identify Your Target Market: Who is your target market for your Amway opportunity? Existing business owners? Broke people who need to make money? I recommend you target other network marketers who are looking for a better way to build their business. Network marketers won\'t waste your time with stupid questions about whether this is a scam, a pyramid, etc. They have shown a proven willingness to pull out a credit card and buy stuff for their business.

Adopt A Compelling Position: If you promote Amway, so do thousands of other reps. What\'s unique that you bring to the table? You must define and communicate a differentiated value proposition.

Promote: How will you generate leads when you don\'t have any more family and friends to approach about Amway? You\'re going to need a sales and marketing education to learn to generate leads.

Follow Up Strategy: Once you generate a lead, how will you follow up? Use both live phone calls and automated emails to handle follow up.

– Market Like A Real Business

Like any established business, you must market to generate sales. Once you run out of friends and family to prospect, you are going to need to use real marketing to grow your business.

Just because you have business cards, a replicated website and some brochures does not mean you are doing any real marketing. Running around with a bunch of silly brochures will NOT build you a large business. Real marketing has several ingredients:

Target The Right People: Who is your target market for your Amway opportunity? Entrepreneurs? Broke people who need to make money? Focus on frustrated network marketers who seek solutions to their business problems. Networkers understand the business to a degree and won\'t ask you if this is a pyramid. People in network marketing have signaled they are willing to put a monthly product purchase onto their credit card.

Positioning: A lot of other people promote Amway too. Why should anyone sign up with you? Decide what sets you apart and communicate that to the marketplace.

Promotion Tactics: How will you generate leads when you don\'t have any more family and friends to approach about Amway? Get trained in solid online marketing tactics that will generate leads for your business.

Following Up: You must follow up with all your leads. Use both live phone calls and automated emails to handle follow up.

– Promote Your Business Online

Marketing effectively on the Internet is vital to the success of your Amway enterprise. There are a lot of advantages to marketing online:

– Wide reach to a global audience

– The potential to attract large numbers of qualified leads

– Using automated marketing on the Internet frees time to do other things

– Monthly expenses can be very low

New marketers in companies like Amway usually just spam online. Get in on the ground floor! You\'ve never seen a comp. plan like this! Our products are great! This is spammy marketing.

People absolutely could care less about your comp plan, your company and its products. What networkers in companies like Amway want are solutions to their pressing business problems. They want more leads. They want more money. Network marketers want better retention. Networkers want far higher levels of duplication in their business.

Focus on solving the problems other networkers face. Examples:

– Put up a blog with content on how to reduce attrition.

– Shoot short videos that teach how to boost duplication.

– Pull together a free report on how to attract leads on the Internet.

By solving the problems other networkers face, many will consider you a mentor. A subset of these people will reach out to join your Amway organization.
