by Joseph Archibald

If you have a plan to visit Disney World and regardless of whether you wish to make this a holiday for you and the kids of a life time or its a regular place to visit, its great when you know how to cut some costs and keep some of that hard earned money in your own pocket. Here are a few tips to help you out.

* Get yourself a Disney Rewards credit card. When you use the card you are rewarded with points that are redeemable towards various Disney goodies such as the cost of the hotel, theme park rides, Disney merchandise and more. Having the Disney credit card is a great starting point for any Disney fan.

* Go off-peak. Try to go to Disney World at off peak times when kids are back at school. This way there are lower crowd levels and lower prices to boot.

* Get yourself an annual pass. If you plan on visiting Disney World more than once in the year then its good going getting your hands on an annual pass.

* Go to the Disney website and register your birth date. If you do this you are then able to choose which theme park you wish to go to and get a free entry ticket on your actual birth date. Upon registration this free pass will be mailed out to you in the post.

* Choose to stay in a Disney Land hotel. This may appear to be expensive but when you think about it, you can save upon traveling costs and traveling time too. Disney have their own bus services to your hotel and back and also you can use the monorail and theme park boats – all free to Disney hotel guests. Further, if you book a Disney hotel you can take advantage of extended theme park visiting hours. You will be shuttled too and from your airport too, also free of charge.

* Like the thought of camping outdoors? If so, why not use one of the Disney camping sites. You can take your own camper van or tent and save yourself a lot of money while having great fun too!

* Plan snacks ahead. If you are to cut down on the purchase of snacks from within the boundaries of Disneyland, then chances are you can save yourself quite a bit of money. Why not go to the local grocery store and get some pop and sandwiches before heading to the theme park, thereby keeping more money in your own pocket.

* Check out the Disney World web site. This has been set up with the visitor in mind and by checking out the site you can better plan your itinerary. Its also useful for getting ticket prices, and there are various discounts that you can only get by booking online.

* Company discounts. With some companies other than Disney itself, you are entitled to a variety of discounts. For example, if you are with the AAA this will get you a number of discounts from Disneyland.
